Today we're excited to release something we’ve been working on for months: our new Tending to Endings First Edition Deck (a digital card deck we’ve evolved from our prototype pack) — and our Facilitation Guidelines, a companion document to using the cards.

These new offerings have grown from a year’s worth of feedback from our community using prototype packs.
The Facilitation Guidelines offer deeper context for each card, safety guidance for holding endings work, ready-to-use session formats (for groups, one-to-one, and personal reflection), garden practices, prompts and reflection questions, and more.
They're written for everyone — whether you're an experienced facilitator or someone exploring endings on your own. The Guidelines also include a printable safety sheet you can keep handy while facilitating.
The First Edition Deck is an evolution of the Prototype pack. The core metaphors haven’t changed. We’ve refined some of the language and imagery, added a new card — Letting Go to Seed — and repositioned Pesticide as a shadow card (the Facilitation Guidelines give more context on these decisions). But if you have physical prototype cards you’d like to keep using, that’s great - they still work!
